Head of Logistics

Position Status: Permanent, full-time

Start Date: as soon as possible

Pay: competitive / negotiable plus OTE

Role: Due to continued expansion we have an immediate vacancy for a the Head of Logistics. A suitable candidate for this role would be capable of manage various elements of the business, implementing the processes needed to improve the efficiency of the operations.

Responsible for the strategic development of your teams.

Lead the strategic development of various elements of the business

Controlling the distribution, transport and logistics teams to drive operational efficiencies and productivity in order to deliver a profitable service to customers without sacrificing quality.

Accountable for the commercial operation of the departments to ensure the profit budget target is surpassed.

Working closely with your team of managers, you will be responsible for health and safety, and ensuring company standards are met.

You will work closely with customer services, listening and taking on board all feedback to ensure a continually improved service is offered.

Requirements:

Experience managing a distribution centres would be highly beneficial.

Experience working within a managerial role

You will have experience managing the strategic development of the transport, logistics and distribution teams.

A minimum of 5 years management experience will be essential.

Skills:

Knowledge of either Logistics, courier, transport and distribution would be beneficial

Analytical / Data experience

Entrepreneurial mind set
