Business Development Manager

Position Status: Permanent, full-time

Role: Due to continued expansion we have an immediate vacancy for a Business Development Manager. A suitable candidate for this role would be proficient in grasping networking opportunities to build strong relationships internally and externally while working closely with senior management and other internal functions. This role will account manage existing channels and more importantly seek potential new partners to increase business, turnover.

This could be via. referral from existing partners and third parties as well as approaching new partners directly.

The role offers a highly lucrative and competitive package, this includes weekly performance related bonuses.

This role will involve new business/account generation by proactive appointment making where you will attend meetings to present service proposals and ultimately close deals. You will also look after existing accounts where you will maximise spend, upsell and cross sell.

There is a realistic earnings potential of over 50k which will be made up of a competitive base salary plus commission including other benefits.

Candidates applying for this role should have a proven sales background within the parcel/courier sector or experience within logistics would also be considered.

The Business Development Manager would be based in the West Midlands, but mobile and willing to travel UK wide.

Requirements:

Able to demonstrate strong personal credibility and be comfortable dealing with all types of people ranging from telesales agents through to Directors and business owners.

Directly in charge of generating new leads and securing new opportunities within the fields we currently offer services in.

They will be able to maximise the current workforce via the successful candidate generating new opportunities.

Strong interpersonal, influencing, networking and sales skills

Able to use own car to travel throughout UK (full expenses covered)
